Entry & Adjacent Powder Room
We forgot to take before pictures of this entry way. It was the original 1960s entry done in a small red tile pattern. After we installed this larger, lighter tile throughout the entry and adjacent powder room and closet, the customers felt like it was a new house when they walk in the door! It feels much brighter and more open.
The original tile was set on a thick mortar bed, common for that time. To properly replace such a floor, it is important to remove the entire mortar bed. Be warey of someone simply peeling the tiles off of the top of the mortar bed and trying to place new tiles on top. The old tiles cannot be removed without damaging the mortar bed, and causing it to be an unsound foundation for a new floor.

I felt very comfortable with the company. They were very honest and seem like they are genuinely interested in helping the customer get the best result for the best price. They will not do a quick fix, they want their work to last. They were also incredibly responsive and dependable- very good communication throughout even though this was a relatively small job.Melanie K. (on AngiesList.com)
